Total Fitness operates 17 health and fitness facilities across the North of England, offering superbly equipped gyms, fitness classes, cafés, hairdressers and beauty treatments. In a highly competitive leisure industry, getting the quality of the indoor air right is crucial, not only for business, it can also have profound effects on customers’ health.
Total Fitness has nine supply and nine extraction air handling units (AHUs) in each of its centres. Each AHU is worth in the region of £60-£70k so good maintenance and upkeep of the units is essential to prevent any long-term damage, which could become very costly to the business.
Total Fitness, was looking to overhaul its air filter maintenance programme so contacted CFP.
