Ask CFP – Energy Costs

Thank you to all our customers who have submitted a question to ‘Ask CFP’ so far. If you have a question or query about air filtration and filter management, simply Ask CFP by emailing us and we may feature you in our next edition.

Our latest question comes from J. Roberts in Liverpool. He asks:

“I’m the Building Manager at a busy hotel in Liverpool and I find that a large proportion of our energy costs are related to the hotel’s HVAC systems. Is there anything I can do to reduce these costs?”

Tony Worthington, Managing Director at CFP says: “We understand that hotels need to provide a clean, comfortable environment to relax in so it’s important to install a HVAC system that provides high quality indoor air and controls odours from food preparation areas as well as keeping energy costs down.

“It’s equally important that you have the most energy-efficient filters installed as well as regularly checking them to ensure they are clean and are working at maximum capacity. Here at CFP, we offer a professional filter management service that includes the initial assessment so we can recommend filters specific to your need.

“After the assessment, we are able to deliver a complete supply and fit service coupled with regular appraisals of your system to ensure that your filters are working at optimum productivity.”

“Our range of ProPleat Panel Filters are tested to EN 779:2012 and provide consistent performance as a pre-filter. Their increased surface area enables greater dust holding capacity as well as a lower pressure drop over the life of the filter, increasing efficiency and thereby reducing CO2 emissions and running costs.

“In order to ensure your filters are clean and working at maximum capacity we would also recommend the installation of manometers. These give you a visual indication as to how your filter is performing. These make it easy to see when your filters need cleaning or replacing and save on downtime too.”

Why not take a look at our offering for Hotels and Leisure and if you would like to partner with CFP for a cost-effective approach to filter management, we’d be delighted to speak with you in person at a time that suits you, alternatively you can call us directly on 0161 406 5050 or email us at sales@cfpdirect.co.uk.
